Colombia

The Colombian mission is led by a dynamic and growing community. The mission depends on the Viatorian Province of the United States. A legal representative guarantees legal acts on behalf of the Congregation. Following the charism of the Venerable Louis Querbes, the Viatorians work to build communities where faith is lived, deepened, and celebrated

In this year 2026, the community is composed of:

  • 18 Professed religious.
  • 12 Associates.
  • 2 Postulants.
  • 1 Novice in formation.

Houses of Formation: the path of discernment

The continuity of the vocational journey relies on structured training, provided in spaces specific to each stage:

San Justo House (Bogotá)

Located in a strategic residential sector of the Capital, close to services and transportation, San Justo House welcomes young men who begin their formation process: the postulants. It is a space for discernment where candidates live in community, share prayer, meals, and pastoral service, permanently accompanied by a Director of Postulants and an Administrator.

House of Formation in Tunja

In the city of Tunja, within the facilities of the San Viator School, the house of accompaniment intended for religious with temporary vows is established. In this environment of community life and study, the brothers deepen their consecration and continue their preparation for the definitive commitment to the Viatorian mission, through the proper charism of the community.

Vocational Pastoral Ministry

Vocational pastoral ministry is not just a search for candidates for religious life, but an accompaniment of the human and Christian growth of youth.

Foundation: it is based on the "Ecclesiology of communion," where each young person is invited to discover their specific mission within the People of God.

Key Activities: retreats are held in June and November, monthly vocational days, and missionary experiences in July and December.

Personalized Accompaniment: Based on a structured approach, this tailored support sustains each stage of human and spiritual growth.
