The Extraordinary General Council is constituted by the meeting of the General Council and the provincial and regional superiors. Acting habitually as a consultative body, its mission is to promote active solidarity between the general leadership and the provinces, while working to strengthen the unity of the congregation.
Its function is to enlighten the General Council by providing its opinion on matters of major importance or exceptional situations submitted to it.
