Fr. André Simon CROZIER, Assistant General Secretary and Archivist

He was born on November 13, 1946 in France. He pronounced his first vows in the Congregation on August 22, 1965 and his perpetual vows on September 3, 1972. He attended the School of Catechists in Lyon (1965-1966, 1969-1971). After his training at the Saint-Irénée Seminary (1975-1979), he received priestly ordination on June 10, 1979 in Lyon.

He was the Pastor of Châtillon and Chessy (1979-1986) and then of the parishes of Charly, Millery (1986-2002), Vernaison (1990-2002) and Vourles (2000-2002), which together became the parish of Sainte-Blandine-du-Fleuve (2002-2006…) that is, for 27 years. He did campus ministry at the Louis-Querbes de Vourles institution: years 1973-1979 and in areas of Beaujeu (1972-1973) and Bois d’Oingt (1973-1986) sectors.

He fulfilled many functions in the Congregation: Secretary of Father Armand Rouveyrol, Provincial Superior: 1969-1978 and 1987-1991; Member of the Provincial Council of Vourles: 1986-1987 (Fr. Léon Desbos), 1987-1991 (Fr. Armand Rouveyrol), and of France 1999-2006 (Fr. Pierre Demierre), Provincial Assistant (2003-2006), General Secretary 2006-2012 (Fr. Mark Francis), 2012-2018 (Fr. Alain Ambeault), 2018-2024 (Fr. Robert M. Egan).

Following his election, the new Superior General asked Fr. André Simon Crozier to assist the new Secretary General, Br. Darius Amani, and to take care of the archives of the General Direction in Vourles.
