The Extraordinary General Council<\/h2>\n

The Extraordinary General Council is constituted by the meeting of the General Council and the provincial and regional superiors. Acting habitually as a consultative body, its mission is to promote active solidarity between the general leadership and the provinces, while working to strengthen the unity of the congregation.<\/p>\n

Its function is to enlighten the General Council by providing its opinion on matters of major importance or exceptional situations submitted to it.<\/p>\n

The General Chapter<\/h2>\n

The supreme authority of the congregation, the General Chapter meets in ordinary session every six years. It brings together the members of the General Council, the provincial Superiors, the Superior of the Delegation of France, as well as the members designated by the General Regulations.<\/p>\n

The General Chapter is the privileged guarantor of the congregation\u2019s fidelity to the founder\u2019s intentions and the Constitution. Charged with promoting the institute\u2019s vitality, it analyzes and evaluates its global situation, defines strategic orientations, and sets common objectives.
