Fr. Wendena Macaire SANDOUIDI, General Procurator
He was born on May 12, 1978 in Boulsa, Burkina Faso. He is part of the first group of Clerics of St. Viator in Burkina Faso. He made his first vows on September 1, 2004 in Ouagadougou. He made his perpetual profession on August 6, 2009. His training took him to Abidjan to the African Lassalian Center to obtain a degree in Educational Sciences (2008).
He then continued his theological studies with the Jesuits and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Theology at UCAO (Catholic University of West Africa). He was ordained a priest on April 14, 2012. He received training to be a novice master at the Mater Christi Center (2014-2015) in Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso).
He has a wealth of experience in the community. He was Master of Postulants, member of the Foundation Council responsible for formation, Master of Novices, Superior of the Foundation of Burkina Faso (2015-2019), Member of the Steering Committee of the Mater Christi Consortium, Director General of the Louis-Querbes Establishment of Banfora, Pastor of St. Viator Parish of Banfora (2018-2021), Diocesan Coordinator of the Justice and Peace Commission of Banfora.
He is currently pursuing studies in Church History at the Gregorian University in Rome with a view to obtaining a Canonical License. The Superior General, in agreement with his council, appointed him General Procurator to the Holy See for the next two years.
